It's right at 26 days I believe, almost 4 weeks. It's taking shape quite nicely. I think this one would be a nice sog strain. Buds look tight, and getting a little frosty. Won't know anyrhing about the high for another 4 or 5 weeks though. But just wanted to post some pics, and say how easy this widow from nirvana is to grow. Also it's only in a 5 inch container, not big at all, but testing to see how it does if it was in a sog grow.

I grew out some Mexican schwag in the year 99 or 2000, can’t quite remember what year it was, but I do have it written down in my files on the reports. They were grown indoors, and reached heights of 7’, and were bent over. They had massive yields, a little fluffy, but yields on one plant under a 400wMH was over 2oz, also only in 9” pots, and I had several other plants there. I think the total yield dry was around 9oz. Not bad for a simple indoor grow under a 400wMH.
My point to this is, the yield was great, very easy plant to grow, the high was weak, weak I tell you! And the damn thing grew tall, though it could have been trained, but the flowering time was long, I pulled the plants at around 10 weeks, but they could have gone several weeks longer(Mexican sativa). I know, what’s my point, I’m getting there.
The white widow from nirvana, didn’t stretch that bad at all, has very tight and dense buds, average flowering time is around 8 weeks(of course depending on how you like your high). I still have mine in flowering, cause there are a few seeds in it, pollinated by accident with a P99, so I’m going to let the seeds ripen up, maybe 3 or 4 seed pods. I have tried a few buds from the bottom, micro-waved. So this is was a pre-test and nothing more. I can’t wait to test it out for several weeks of smoking to get the real idea behind it. So think of this as only a sample test to get an idea of what to look forward to, and nothing more.
After smoking it last night for a 3rd time. I found the high/stoned to be quite nice(remember this is just a sampling, and has not been smoked for a long period of time). It’s very nice, reminds me a lot of the misty, but more potent than the misty. The high has a lot of different types in it, making me like it. It gradually builds up, like walking up a mountain, it gets harder and harder, and then when you finally reach the summit, you’re like, wow, this is a very nice feeling. Smoked one bowl, and it was a little visual, a little rush, a little couch lock, just a little of everything, and I found it to be potent. The only down side to it, was its flavor, but remember, I nuked these babies, but you still can get an idea from it. It was harsh, but the flavor was a little hashy pungent type. But overall, I give it an 8 out of 10. I like the fact, you feel it gradually build up, the high/stone. So you know when to stop smoking it. Like I said, walking up a mountain, and finally able to lay back when you hit the top, and say, awhhhhh!
So my point is this, this is a very good yielding strain, great for sog grows, around 8 weeks flowering. And considering my low light circumstances at the time, it has done well. It has been around 2 and 3 feet from the light for the last couple of weeks, due to larger growing plants in there at the same time. If I was going to grow only for friends and business purposes, I would definitely grow this one out. I feel it would be a good money plant, and for only $15, how can you go wrong. I mean, it has a good yield, stays quite small if trained, or topped, and has a good stoned/high, better than what you can get off the streets. Definitely will be getting more seeds, cause you can’t go wrong with it, unless you smoke only for flavor, than this isn’t for you. But for everything else, it’s very nice. It also makes you a little stupid and slow after smoking a bowl. ;) A great sog plant if you’re thinking about doing one. |

Here's part of my set-up, and these were grown in soil. The light is a 400wMH.
I'm putting up a 600wHPS parabolic in the corner of the picture where the 400w is. I'm getting ready to install some rollers and hangers, so moving the light up and down will be super easy.
I also have cabinet, and another closet where I grow hydroponically, it's under a 400wHPS.
Also my nutrients use this time, was MG soil, cut with perlite/vermiculite, wormcastings, and pure blend bloom. And ocassionally, some bat guano.
